We will guide you through setting up a Youtube TV account through your computer, tablet, or phone and access the service through your Roku streaming device, smart TV, or any other streaming device. To sign up for Youtube on your computer, go to tv.youtube.com (If you already have the Youtube TV app installed, then go to tv.youtubetv.com/start on your browser and follow instructions to activate) and select try it for free, or sign up and select your email, submit your zip code and your local channel area. The next screen includes all of the channels you'll have available with your subscription, click next, and now you will get the option of listing add-ons and extra subscription packages available through Youtube tv.
There is an additional cost for the packages listed here. If you'd like to include them in your subscription, click the box next to them at the bottom, click next and complete your purchase by adding payment information. Once all the information has been entered, click buy to get you started. Here, you can select your favorite shows that you'd like to auto record. Once you have completed, click finish. Youtube tv is available to watch in your computer browser and a variety of other devices.
You have to install the Youtube TV app on your streaming device; once downloaded, the app will be added to the home screen of your device. Now open the youtube tv app; once the app opens for the first time, sign in to the account by visiting tv.youtube.com/start, enter the code displayed on your tv and then sign in to your youtube TV account. The link to activate youtube TV is the same for all the streaming devices; you have to visit tv.youtubetv.com/start on a mobile or PC browser and enter the code displayed on the screen. The first screen you'll see is home at the top of the screen; you will be able to select between library home and live TV. The home screen includes programming you might be interested in, episodes you might resume watching and listed suggested programming. Switching to the library provides you with the programming you have chosen to record. This includes new recordings, most-watched, and upcoming programs.
Clicking on a recording or show will bring up access to all of the recorded and upcoming episodes of that program. Switching over to the live tv section shows your channel guide of live programming on the right side of the screen; along with it, there is a magnifying glass icon; this is the search tool; here, you can search for programming by channel or show name or actor that you are looking for.
